Do you offer local pick up?
Yes! I offer local pickup at fruitsuper (a nearby shop located in Pioneer Square). Their address is 524 1st Ave S Seattle, WA 98104. Use code "LOCAL" at checkout to remove shipping charges and I'll be in touch when you're order is ready to pick up. Pick up hours are Wed/Thu 12-6, Fri/Sat 12-7, & Sun 12-5. If you know you will not be able to make it over to fruitsuper during these times, please select shipping at checkout.
Shipping fees seem expensive, is that a mistake?
Usually, no. Shipping ceramics is expensive! I almost always ship packages via USPS Priority and shipping is estimated at checkout based on your address. Rates are subject to change based on the weight of the items you are shipping and the current USPS rates which can fluctuate throughout the year.
Sometimes the estimation will be off and in this case I will refund you the difference in shipping, but this is not that common.
Do you teach classes?
I teach classes out of a couple local community studios. Checkout Reclaim Clay Collective & Saltstone Ceramics sites for their current offerings. I also teach private wheelthrowing lessons at Saltstone Ceramics. Please email info@saltstoneceramics.com to schedule a lesson and mention that you'd like me as your instructor in your email!
Do you allow returns or exchanges?
Returns and exchanges are accepted on a case by case basis. Please reach out via email (samdodiestudio@gmail.com) if you are not happy with a piece you have purchased.
Ceramics are fragile and breakage happens! I cannot replace items that break due to normal use. If something arrives broken from shipping, please reach out ASAP!
